Sharing feedback on AI features

We value customer feedback on our AI features, as it helps us improve the AI experience. This article contains more information on the data shared when you choose to provide in-product feedback.

When you enter feedback on our AI features in the box provided and click the Share Feedback button, your data is collected and used as described below.

What data is collected?

The data collected refers to all information you provide during your interaction within the respective AI feature. This may include information you've directly provided to the feature, including task or project content deemed relevant to the AI feature, or information about you that is relevant to the feature.

Note: If your organization uses Asana's Enterprise Key Management (EKM) feature, please note that data sent to AI partners is not encrypted.

As an example, here is some data that is collected when you submit feedback for a collection of our features:

Smart answers
Data collected includes the question asked of the bot and information selected from your project and tasks used by the bot to answer the question.

Smart editor
Data collected includes the tone selected and the text selected in the text editor.

Smart summaries
Data collected includes the content of the task and the summary that was generated.

Create subtasks
Data collected includes the content of the task and the generated subtasks.

Smart digests
Data collected includes the recent activity data of the project and the digest that was generated.

Smart fields
Data collected includes information selected from your project and tasks used by the bot to create the custom fields. The bot can also look at each of the selected tasks, and try to extract the information in them to generate fields. Data collected also includes the generated custom fields, and the value of the custom field for each task that the bot fills.

Smart status
Data collected includes information selected from your project and tasks used by the bot to create the status update and the generated status update. The bot can also look at relevant information about those selected tasks, and try to extract decisions that were made.

Smart workflows

Data collected includes project context such as name, custom fields, sections and forms. The user's input text used to describe the rule they wish to generate is also collected, as is the output rule that is generated.

Data is transferred, processed, and stored consistent with our Privacy Statement.

What is that data used for?

The data collected will be used for feature improvement, as well as bug identification and fixing.

Feature improvement
By analyzing usage data, we will gain insights into what works well and what could be enhanced. This will help us provide you with new and improved features in Asana.

Bug identification and fixing
User data helps us identify and diagnose any technical glitches, ensuring a smoother and more reliable experience for everyone.
